About
Are you interested in business with an emphasis on technology? Do you want to equip yourself with the latest tools to solve complex business challenges?
ECU's management information systems program integrates business and computing, providing students the skills to solve business problems in technology-based environments. Students learn to analyze and design effective information systems, successfully manage software projects, and develop business solutions, all while focusing on the role that computers play in human settings. Whether large or small, local or international, every organization depends on good information and information systems.
ECU Advantage
More students are enrolled in the ECU College of Business than in any other business school in the state. As a student in the College of Business, you’ll benefit from a professional college that has been continuously accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB), the premier accrediting agency of collegiate business schools worldwide, since 1967 (we are one of only two institutions in North Carolina—and 120 worldwide—that have been continuously accredited by the AACSB since 1967 or before.)
For the sixth straight year, the College of Business at East Carolina University has again earned top marks, ranking among the best U.S. business schools according to the Princeton Review.
We also offer a strong curriculum that prepares today’s students to become tomorrow’s leaders; solid preparation in valuable 21st-century skills, including leadership skills, communications skills, and professionalism; a personalized network of support in a close-knit, caring community; diverse and talented full-time faculty with real-world experience in their fields of expertise; and small class sizes coupled with flexible class schedules and a variety of online options.
The College of Business offers a unique Living Learning Community option for first-year and sophomore students as well as a Business Scholars Award—a renewable four-year merit scholarship awarded to outstanding incoming students who are pursuing a BSBA.
